Ocean Knowledge Cards promote cross-cultural learning by combining both ocean science and Indigenous peoples perspectives to understand the importance of marine species within Indigenous territories. The cards highlight the uniqueness of the ecosystems, ocean life, people, language and culture while raising the awareness of ocean science.

The Ocean Knowledge Cards are developed in partnership with Indigenous peoples language departments and ONC scientists. ONC has developed cards with the Nuu-chah-nulth & W̱SÁNEĆ communities and are available to purchase.
