PROGRAMME OCEAN SENSE
Symposium du science océanique
An ONC-hosted event for students and educators to learn about marine science careers and opportunities.

The annual Ocean Science Symposium (OSS) is a no cost two-day event held at UVic which brings together high school students and educators interested in the many facets of marine science.

During this immersive experience of activities and interactive sessions, participants learn about potential careers, current research, and scientific opportunities within the evolving world of ocean exploration, science and technology. Through activities and interactive sessions, educators and students connect with each other, with scientists and with other knowledge holders and a diverse range of presenters.

Intended participants for this event are high school students accompanied by a teacher or chaperone from communities all over British Columbia and the Arctic. Some travel funding is available for qualified applicants outside of Victoria.

Revisit this page for more information when applications open in spring 2022, with registration to be available here.
